Studying at SFU satellite campuses in Europe – Student mobility abroad
The SFU considers itself a European university. The first satellite campus was established in Paris in 2006, followed by campuses in Ljubljana and Berlin, then in Milan and in Linz. Psychotherapy and psychology are taught at all campuses in the respective national languages and with emphasis on particular cultural features and, at the same time, as part of an overarching curriculum. Students of the SFU Berlin have the opportunity to study at one of the Sigmund Freud University campuses for one semester. The main campus of the SFU in Vienna is a especially good option for the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes in Psychology and Psychotherapy Science. Internships can be completed at one of the SFU Vienna’s outpatient clinics. A semester abroad at SFU Paris, SFU Lublijana or SFU Milan is also possible. In this case, students should expect to extend their course of study. Strong language skills in the host country’s language are a prerequisite. The SFU Vienna also offers its Psychology and Psychotherapy Science programmes in English. Every summer, the SFU in Berlin, Vienna, Linz, Paris and Ljubljana offer a Summer School in Psychotherapy Science. Acquired ECTS points can be credited towards the Psychotherapy Science curriculum at the SFU Berlin.
Postgraduate Master’s in Cultural Relations Migration
The 1-year Master’s programme in Cultural Relations and Migration is designed for professionals working in social, psychological, cultural, or educational fields at the national or international level. Courses are taught in German and English.
