Dear Students,

Finally, a chance to really dive into writing – continue working on that long-postponed term paper, revise a draft of your thesis chapter, or start a new writing project.

On 15.05.2025, we cordially invite you again to the SFU Writing Night, which takes place every first Thursday of the month from 6 pm to 11 pm.

We’ll kick off the evening together and create a cozy and productive atmosphere where each of us can focus on our individual writing projects. In addition to writing, you’ll have the opportunity to receive advice on topics like defining research questions, conducting literature searches, improving your writing process, or getting feedback on your text.

You can wrap up the evening according to your personal needs. Of course, snacks and drinks will be provided.

The first dates were a complete success: numerous students took the opportunity to work on their term papers and final theses in a pleasant atmosphere, receive feedback and network with each other.
Due to the positive response, we would like to establish the writing night as a permanent format! It will also take place on the following dates in the summer semester:

The doors are open for you from 17:30 (please arrive on time!). The writing night starts at 6 pm, with an open end until 11 pm at the latest.
All students are cordially invited – whether for concentrated writing, for questions about the writing process or simply for a motivating evening in the community.
We look forward to anchoring the Writing Night at SFU in the long term and continuing to create a productive and inspiring environment for students!

To help us plan better, we kindly ask you to register in advance.
However, spontaneous guests without registration are also very welcome!
