New Digital Resources for SFU Library
We are delighted to announce three significant additions to our library resources, which will provide our users with even better support for their studies, research and teaching.
- The Wiley Online Library provides access to an extensive collection of academic publications across numerous disciplines, including medicine, psychology, and the social and behavioural sciences. With articles from over 1,800 academic journals, Wiley represents a valuable addition to our digital portfolio for students and researchers. The agreement also covers open-access publishing: corresponding authors from SFU will in future be able to publish via open access in Wiley’s gold and hybrid journals at no additional cost. - In addition, we are expanding the EBSCO database we already have a licence for with a further package that offers full-text access to many additional journals across all subject areas. Access to both new resources will be made available in the coming weeks.
- To further improve access to our digital collections, we are implementing the EBSCO Discovery Service. This new search platform enables users to search all the digital content in our databases via a central user interface. It provides clear access to our licensed materials and supports even more thorough research – including through advanced search filters, automatic citation tools and personalised search folders. In addition, open-access journals and e-books from various publishers will be integrated. The new platform is scheduled to launch in February 2026
