Resume
Karin Mlodoch is psychologist (diploma Free University Berlin; doctoral grade from the University of Klagenfurt/Austria). 2009 to 2013 she was research fellow in the project “Violence, Memory and Dealing with the Past in Iraq” at the Zentrum Moderner Orient/Berlin. She is founding and board member of HAUKARI – Association for International Cooperation and has coordinated support and empowerment projects for survivors of violence, youth and women in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and Iraq for more than 25 years.
Teaching and research foci: The social and political dimensions of trauma; psychosocial practice in conflict regions; critical perspectives on psychological knowledge production and transfer; international knowledge exchange.
