is a Senior Researcher and Consultant at the Research Institute - Digital Human Rights Center in Vienna. He studied sociology at the University of Vienna, specialised in the sociology of law and crime and received his PhD in "Interdisciplinary Legal Studies" from the Faculty of Law. Previously, he worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Technology Assessment (ITA) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) and at the Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS) in Vienna. Robert Rothmann is the author of numerous studies at the interface of technology, law and society and is also a lecturer in "Research Ethics" at the University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten as well as a lecturer in the module "Protection of Fundamental Rights and Media" at the postgraduate course "Information and Media Law" at the University of Vienna.
