Resume
Dr. Janez Sečnik, specialist in marriage and family therapy, received his doctorate on the topic of Intergenerational Transmission of Shame in the Family (2013). He is co-author of the book Psychology of Shame (2014) and author of the book Fatherhood is Born in a Relationship (2024). He regularly writes, lectures, appears in the media, etc. He completed a specialized program for supervisors with Dr. Tatjana Rožič. He participated in the project ""Key to Social Inclusion"" and led workshops for parents in the project ""Support for Families in Risky and/or Highly Conflictual Situations"" (MDDSZ).
He is a collaborator at ŠRCD. He is currently employed as a counselor in the field of emotion management, positive self-image building, and problem solving at MDC (MDDSZ). He leads workshops for fathers at Mali ulica and SFU. He collaborates with Unicef (P-odporni mladi project), is an expert member of the Pelikan-Karitas Institute council, and a reviewer for Kairos magazine.
