Claudia Kipp-Cötok graduated from Freie Universität Berlin with a diploma in psychology and in 1999 she received the approbation to practice psychotherapy based on depth psychology. She has many years of professional experiences as a psychotherapist and counsellor with a variety of age groups, methods and settings: in an out-patient child and family therapy center, in the department for psychosomatics and psychotherapy for children and adolescents of Rudolf Virchow university hospital and in the municipal educational and familiy counselling center in Berlin Wedding.
She has integrated trainings in pedagogical-psychological child therapy, familiy therapy , Gestalt therapy and depth psychology based psychotherapy in her work. In addition she held lectures on systemic work with families at the university of applied sciences for social work and social education (today named Alice Salomon Hochschule) and she led supervision and self-awareness groups.
