Univ. -Prof. Dr. med. unv. , Dr. med. dent. Krennmair is appointed professor of dental prosthodontics (2018) at SFU. After receiving his doctorate in 1987 (Dr. med. univ.) from the Medical University of Innsbruck, he began training as a general practitioner at the Wels-Grieskirchen Clinic and trained as a specialist in oral and
maxillofacial surgery in Wels and Vienna (1995), during which time he also trained as a specialist in dentistry, oral and maxillofacial medicine (1994).
Research assistant at the Department of Prosthodontics at the MUW from 1996. Habilitation for dentistry, oral and maxillofacial medicine with special reference to prosthodontics (Univ.-Doz). Doctorate in dentistry (Dr. med. dent. (2000). Austrian Science Prize of the Federal Curia (1999), Rudolf Slavicek Prize (2006, 2010).
Visiting professor in Belgrade (2010). University professor by the Federal President (2009). Implant-prosthetic
working group MUW. Since 1995 in private practice in Wels-Marchtrenk. Over 130 scientific publications (h-index:30).
