Univ.-Prof. Dr. Andrea Podczeck Schweighofer has been working as Primaria at the Cardiology Department of the Kaiser Franz Josef Hospital for 13 years. She completed her training in Vienna (primarily at the Wilhelminenspital), at St. Bartholomew's Hospital in London and at the Cardiology Department of the University Hospital Düsseldorf. In addition to the clinical and research foci already cited, she has paid particular attention to the gender and gender aspects of cardiovascular diseases. She is a member of national and international medical and cardiological societies. She is currently president-elect of the Austrian Cardiology Society.
