Roland Sedivy (born May 9th, 1963 in Vienna) is an Austrian university professor of pathology, medical law expert, author and life and social counselor. From 2007 to 2016, Sedivy was Head of Clinical Pathology at the St. Pölten State Hospital and until 2019 Deputy Chief Physician of the Cantonal Pathology of Münsterlingen (Switzerland). Then until 2023 Head of the Institute for Clinical Pathology, Molecular Pathology and Microbiology of the Klinik Favoriten, the former Kaiser Franz Josef Hospital, an academic teaching hospital of the Medical University of Vienna. At the same time also head of the Institute for Pathology and Microbiology at the Klinik Landstrasse (formerly the Rudolfstiftung). He was also a board member of the Austrian Society for Clinical Pathology and Molecular Pathology from 2011 to 2015. As a university professor, Sedivy worked at the Danube Private University in Krems in the field of general pathology and oral pathology and at the Karl Landsteiner University in St. Pölten in clinical pathology. Sedivy has been teaching at the Sigmund Freud Private University in Vienna since 2019 and was appointed to the Chair of Clinical Pathology and Molecular Pathology in 2023.
